Why i chose print?

I decided to choose print as i believed that you have much more flexibility in making the print. I thought that the video was not fun to do as it had strict guidelines as what needs to be done and you could not add your own creative flair into it. The advantage of a music magazine as that i am interested in music and will therefore be able to add what i think is good and interesting music which maybe be a new type of genre, or just a new band that is new on the scene.
In our preliminary task i used Adobe Photoshop and although it did not find it easy to start with in the end i was comfortable using it and did not want the knowledge i have gained using it to go to waste. I also felt that the video did not take a lot of time and i didn't know how i would be able to improve this to make it look very professional however i know that with the Music magazine that if i put time and effort into i will be able to replicate a real magazine and also try and make it have something different to the rest of them. I believe that i will be able to add something different in my music magazine as i read other magazines (such as Rugby world, GQ and FHM) that have special games and articles that do not feature in music magazines that i will try and reproduce these but in a music way.

  1. You have explained your choice clearly, Jake, however, I would point out that the main task for the film offers far more flexibility than the print.
Now you have managed one post crack on with others!
